Como una uva pequeña

Before inflation ocurred, the universe was much smaller than we might otherwise think, and all its parts have been in contact with one another… Although the details of how the rapid expansion ocurred a little complicated, the end result is that in very, very short time the universe expanded from something with a characteristic size (called its radius of curvature) smaller than that of an individual proton to asomething with a radius of curvature the size of a grapefruit. This rapid ballooning of the size of the universe early in its development is what is called inflation, and a universe that undergoes this process is said to be an inflationary universe: James Trefil
